What is Envy economics. It is a new form of finance and societal dictums that are derived from a large portion of a population who seeks their sustenance by taking from achievers, and voting in government officials who will provide them their desires. Evolved from an axiom laid down by Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, Envy Economics is the culmination of a population who realized they can vote in people to government offices who will raid the coffers to give them things, and pass legislation to steal from others to give to them in areas such as welfare, employment advantages, and even college submissions.
And while the Democratic and Progressive parties have gone a long way towards providing the have-nots with advantages they choose not to achieve on their own, one candidate running for the 2016 Presidency is the epitome of the perfect man to morph America into the Envy Economy.
That candidate is Socialist Bernie Sanders.
In a recent interview with Bill Maher, Bernie Sanders was struck dumb and became virtually unable to respond when the liberal talk show host dared ask a simple question…
“What we do is we have to make a movement if you like to correlate what we’re talking about, because on every one of the major issues I’m talking about, the American people agree,” explained Sanders. “Do the American people agree that public colleges and universities should be tuition-free, as they are in many other countries? The American people say yes.”
But Maher—in a surprise move—challenged Sanders on his utopian plan, echoing the most common critiques of the candidate’s agenda: that there’s no way raising taxes for the top 1 percent of Americans could pay for all these programs. – The Daily Beast
Sanders of course had no real answers to any of the questions on how America would pay for 100% full healthcare, 100% full education, Increasing Social Security and fixing its failed trust, etc… etc…. No, like all socialists, liberals, and progressives, their ideals are always built on emotional ideals without the first clue on where the money will come from, other than to steal it from the ‘wealthy’ (which is never defined), and use fear mongering to stir the heartstrings like ones such as the elderly and poor have not so much as ‘dog food’ to eat.
Yet simply offering to pay for free stuff does not make up the entirety of the new Envy Economy. It requires legislation and court rulings to ensure the people who cannot, or will not do for themselves get the opportunities that those who do work for them don’t get.
In the U.S., it is no longer just about being a minority to get additional advantages in society, but you have to be the RIGHT minority, and in addition, be an under-achieving RIGHT minority. In the case of Michael Wong, a Southern California student who of course comes from an Asian background, his long list of achievements, including getting a perfect score on his ACT test, was not enough to get acceptance in all Ivy League schools he applied for admission to.
MICHAEL WANG, a young Californian, came second in his class of 1,002 students; his ACT score was 36, the maximum possible; he sang at Barack Obama’s inauguration; he got third place in a national piano contest; he was in the top 150 of a national maths competition; he was in several national debating-competition finals. But when it came to his university application he faced a serious disappointment for the first time in his glittering career. He was rejected by six of the seven Ivy League colleges to which he applied.
“I saw people less qualified than me get better offers,” says Mr Wang. “At first I was just angry. Then I decided to turn that anger to productive use.” He wrote to the universities concerned. “I asked: what more could I have done to get into your college? Was it based on race, or what was it based on?” He got vague responses—or none. So he complained to the Department of Education. Nothing came of it. “The department said they needed a smoking gun.” – The Economist

And you can note by the name, Harold is black. Now, to be fair, Harold is an excellent student, perhaps because he immigrated here from Africa when he was 8 years old, but to have every Ivy League school accept him for admittance, but have none accept a similar top Asian student shows just how much the system is geared towards those who make up the foundation of the Envy economy.
In fact, of the top 75 colleges in the United States, several select candidates from Diversity factors first, and then scholastic achievements after.
A survey of admissions officials at the 75 most competitive colleges and universities (defined as those with the lowest admit rates) finds that there are distinct patterns, typically not known by applicants, that differentiate some holistic colleges from others. Most colleges focus entirely on academic qualifications first, and then consider other factors. But a minority of institutions focuses first on issues of “fit” between a college’s needs and an applicant’s needs.
This approach — most common among liberal arts colleges and some of the most competitive private universities — results in a focus on non-academic qualities of applicants, and tends to favor those who are members of minority groups underrepresented on campus and those who can afford to pay all costs of attending.
Then of course there are the numerous cases of job applicants for public employment who not only couldn’t pass entrance exams, but sued that those exams are discriminatory, and in fact won out to both become police and firefighters, and also to become supervisors and managers over white peers who excelled far beyond their achievements and test scores.
When Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis of Federal District Court in Brooklyn ruled on Wednesday in a Justice Department lawsuit that New York City had discriminated against black and Hispanic applicants to the Fire Department, he argued that the entrance exams used had little relation to firefighting.
The two tests, administered in 1999 and 2002, involve dozens of multiple-choice questions that appear to evaluate reading comprehension, the ability to look at buildings from one angle and visualize them from others, and specific knowledge about things like in what order firefighters should put on their gear in an alarm.
But lawyers for the Vulcan Society, an organization of black firefighters that is part of the lawsuit, argued successfully that those sorts of questions could not measure the skills necessary to become a good firefighter.
“The specific skills firefighters need cannot be tested in written tests,” one of the lawyers, Richard Levy, said at a news conference outside City Hall, adding that some questions required applicants to read at a level “way too high for the job” and that they were “not conducive to finding out who has certain abilities.”
In addition, he said, the tests used criteria, like reading for comprehension and writing prose analysis, that disfavored minority applicants. Blacks and Hispanics tend to fare worse on those kinds of tests, he said, because they have less practice in school or for other reasons. “When you do test for things like integrity, physicality, teamwork and cooperation, the adverse impact is much reduced,” he said. – New York Times
In this age of information and technology, Envy Economics states that you do not need to be able to read, write, or comprehend information to be accepted into job positions that require all these things, such as being a firefighter in a major metropolitan city.
Throughout our history many corrupt men and women unlawfully kept whites, natives, blacks, and other minorities down for the purposes of power, control, and the accumulation of wealth. However, the pendulum has swung far to the other side centuries later, and in a newly forged societal swing I call the Envy Economy, achievements by any class are absolutely meaningless, and the moment you reach a rung higher than those at the bottom, people from both below and above will strangle your ability to rise up anymore, while at the same time taking what you have worked for and give to those who haven’t.
And God help us if Bernie Sanders, the standard bearer of the Envy Society, is elected President.
